Experience a Luxor trip from Marsa Alam to explore the highlights of Egypt’s 'open-air museum'. Visit Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, Hatshepsut Temple, and the Valley of the Kings. Return to Marsa Alam in the evening.
Itinerary :
Our tour representative will pick you up from your hotel in Marsa Alam in a modern air-conditioned vehicle for your journey to Luxor. Begin by visiting the famous Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built, whose ancient name, Ipet-isut, means “the most sacred of places.” This complex of temples was constructed over more than two thousand years by successive generations of pharaohs. The great Hypostyle Hall within the complex is an awe-inspiring forest of giant pillars. Enjoy lunch at a quality restaurant on the way, then head to the West Bank of the Nile River. Start with the colossal statues of Amenhotep III (Colossi of Memnon), and then visit the Valley of the Kings, where magnificent tombs were discovered, carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated, and filled with treasures for the pharaohs' afterlife. You will visit three tombs before continuing to the Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary. This impressive temple, dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh, rises out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it. After your tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Marsa Alam.
