Day 1: Fly to Luxor / Luxor Sightseeing Tours
Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo in a modern air-conditioned vehicle and transfer you to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be accompanied by your Egyptologist tour guide to visit the famous Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built, known in ancient times as Ipet-isut, meaning "the most sacred of places." The complex of temples was constructed over more than two thousand years by successive generations of pharaohs. The great Hypostyle Hall within the complex is an incredible forest of giant pillars. Enjoy lunch at a quality restaurant before visiting the majestic Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for rituals and festivals, dedicated to the god Amun. You will have some free time for shopping in Luxor before being driven to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy leisurely free time in Luxor and an overnight stay. Meals: Lunch
Day 2: Luxor Sightseeing Tours / Fly Back to Cairo
Start your day with a relaxing breakfast at your hotel in Luxor. Then, visit the West Bank of the Nile River, beginning with the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III (Colossi of Memnon). Next, explore the Valley of the Kings, where magnificent tombs were carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the pharaohs' afterlife. You will visit three tombs. Continue your tour with a visit to the Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary, an impressive structure dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh, which rises out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before being transferred to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred by a private air-conditioned van to your hotel in Cairo. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
