Explore the most renowned sites in Luxor on both sides of the Nile in a single day. Discover Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple on the East Bank, followed by a visit to the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut Temple on the West Bank.
Itinerary :
Begin your Luxor City Tour with a transfer to the West Bank, where you'll visit the Valley of the Kings. This valley, known for its impressive burial architecture, houses the tombs of many kings. Notable tombs include those of King Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tutankhamun, King Ramesses VI, King Merneptah, and Amenhotep II. Next, visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, constructed by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt for around 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (approximately 1490-1469 B.C.), the only female pharaoh to reign over ancient Egypt. You will also pass by the Colossi of Memnon, the remains of Amenhotep III's mortuary temple. Then, drive to the East Bank of Luxor to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the Karnak Temples, the largest worship complex in history, dedicated to the god Amon, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu. Conclude your tour with a visit to the Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III during the 18th Dynasty and completed by Ramesses II in the 19th Dynasty. Finally, you will be driven back to your hotel in Luxor.
